11 - 14 Sep 2018
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Kasr Alainy Teaching Hospitals, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University is the largest tertiary care academic institution and level I trauma center in the Middle East with over 50000 general anesthetics and over 20000 regional anesthetics delivered per year.
“Perioperative personalized care, from concept to reality” is our main theme this year, which is an evolution for our conventional practice to a multidisciplinary specialty which affects the patient welfare on all aspects. Personalized health care concept is a paradigm shift in the practice of medicine which entails the use of an individual’s health information to tailor therapy or preventive care.
Tailoring of treatment to patients dates back at least to the time of Hippocrates, the term has risen in usage in recent years given the growth of new diagnostic and informatics approaches. Evidence supporting best practices in perioperative medicine is expanding, though historically this field has been directed by common practice and experience.
